Donald Trump was humiliated live on TV across the United States, but he didn't even notice. The US president was delivering a speech at a high school in Marietta, Georgia, about his administration's policies including tax cuts and 'Trump accounts' for US children, when viewers spotted a distracting figure behind him.
Just in shot was a man wearing a black suit and imitating Trump's 'accordion hands' – his unique way of moving his hands while speaking, which some have said looks as though he is playing the musical instrument. The man even had Trump's facial expressions down to a T.
Imitator Copies Trump's Mannerisms
Trump was unaware he was being imitated as he told the crowd: 'And more money is being invested in the United States right now than at any time in the history of our country, and Americans are working today more so than ever before.'
As well as moving his hands, the man copied Trump's famous 'duck-face' lip movement and seemed to mouth along to some of his words. He even got other attendees to join in, holding up a TrumpAccounts.gov sign and encouraging them to do a 'Trump dance', holding his hands in fists and gently shaking his hips.
Viewers React on Social Media
Viewers were left taken aback by the segment. One tweeted on X: 'Get a load of the kid in the suit behind Trump impersonating his accordion hands.' Another said: 'I've watched it about BILLIONS AND BILLIONS of times. Kid is reading the teleprompter along with Trump. Better than Trump!' A third echoed: 'They don't look like they're really paying much attention to what he's saying except for the guy doing the hand jive. It's almost like they're being paid to be there and they're bored, so they're talking amongst themselves.'
