Trewley-Precious Temple, star of Channel 4's new reality series Secret Lives of Gypsy Wives, broke down in tears during Monday's episode as she opened up about the death of her father, Sidney 'Siddy Boy' Temple, who passed away from cancer in November 2024.
Emotional Revelation About Her Father
The 26-year-old TikTok influencer, known for her social media presence, allowed cameras into her family life for the show. While preparing for her mother Tina's birthday celebration, Trewley became visibly emotional. She explained that she always buys her mother a gift from her late father for special occasions, including Mother's Day and Valentine's Day. According to Trewley, her father, who was ill and unable to move, had asked her to 'go out and get your mum something from dad.'
Speaking directly to the camera, Trewley said through tears: 'My dad died three years ago of cancer and it was the worst thing. I can't even talk, I feel like I'm in a different world.' She added: 'It was absolutely horrible and I was really young, I was only 22 when it happened.'
Family Grief and Support
Tina, Trewley's mother, also became emotional, revealing that she had not had time to grieve because she felt responsible for holding the family together. She described the family as 'balloons trying to float away' and herself as trying to 'grab the strings and hold onto them.' Trewley told one of her sisters: 'Dad was the biggest loss that the whole family has had.'
During the birthday gathering, Trewley gave her mother the gift she had bought from her father. Before Tina could open it, she broke down. Trewley's brother, Jamie John, read the message on the ribbon aloud: 'To my Tinny happy birthday me old girl. Thank you for looking after our babies. I love you in this life and the next.' In an attempt to lighten the mood, Jamie joked: 'You've ruined the whole day, Trewley.'
