Travis Kelce has had a shy reaction to fiancée Taylor Swift's explicit song 'Wood', from her new album The Life of a Showgirl. The Kansas City Chiefs star was quizzed by his brother Jason on their podcast New Heights about the lyrics, which make several references to his 'manhood'.
In the song, Swift sings about a 'redwood tree' and uses terms such as 'magic wand' and 'wood'. During the podcast, Jason asked: 'How do you feel about "Wood"?' Travis laughed and replied: 'It's a great song.' When pressed if he felt 'cocky' about it, he said no and attempted to deflect by praising Swift.
Jason persisted, pointing out the song was specifically about an 'appendage'. Travis played dumb, asking: 'What? I think you're not understanding the song.' Jason then recited the lyrics 'Redwood tree ain't hard to see' and joked that if someone wrote a song about him, it would be 'Japanese maple sometimes can see'.
Travis eventually said: 'Any song that she would reference me in any way… I love that girl.' Jason gave up, calling the song 'great' and praising its beat. Earlier, Swift told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that the song started innocently about 'superstitions' but became more x-rated as she 'started vibing'. She described the 'spice level' on her album as 'high'.
