Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are just hours away from walking down the aisle together, with New York City buzzing about their wedding day. The couple began dating in 2023 before announcing their engagement last summer, telling fans that their "English teacher and gym teacher are getting married."
Before Taylor Swift: Travis Kelce's Dating Show and Early Romances
Even before his romance with the Cruel Summer singer began, the Kansas City Chiefs player regularly made headlines with his love stories involving exes. He even appeared on his own dating show to find love. Although none of those relationships led to a star-studded ceremony at Madison Square Garden, here are some of his most notable former partners.
Maya Benberry (2016)
Finding himself single and unlucky in love, the NFL star turned to reality TV and landed his own dating show, Catching Kelce, in 2016. On the E! series, he chose Maya Benberry, who beat out 49 fellow contestants for his attention. While their connection was evident on screen, things fizzled soon after the show ended. Maya has since accused Travis of cheating during their short-lived romance—something he has fiercely denied.
She previously issued a warning to the bride-to-be, telling the Daily Mail: "Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck but I wouldn’t be a girls' girl if I didn’t advise her to be smart! I’m sure by now she has mastered the ability to see who is really there for her — and who is just using her. I can only hope that she comes out the teacher in this situation and not the student."
However, an insider later told Page Six that they "weren’t even together long enough for him to cheat on her" and "they dated literally less than three months, and they were contractually obligated to not announce their breakup."
Kayla Nicole (2017-2022)
Travis moved on from Maya with sports journalist Kayla Nicole. The pair went public in 2017 after he reportedly slid into her Instagram DMs on New Year’s Eve. Kayla was a regular fixture at his games, cheering him on from the stands. Throughout their on-off romance, they faced rumors that Travis had cheated in 2020—which he branded "fake news" at the time.
In 2022, they officially ended things for good. Although neither has spoken publicly about the breakup, they separately squashed claims that it was because the Super Bowl champion was "cheap." "Do I look like anybody that would split anything?" she said in 2024 on the Unapologetically Angel podcast. "No, this is the question. Do I look like I would go 50/50 on bills?" Appearing on Special Forces soon after, she became emotional discussing the "overwhelming" reaction to the split, as well as Taylor Swift's intense fan base.
Zuri Hall (2022)
In the wake of his five-year romance with Kayla ending, Travis was linked to Zuri Hall. The speculation began at the end of 2022, when the Access Hollywood reporter was seen watching a Chiefs game in his suite—but neither confirmed the claims. She later told Page Six: "I laugh that stuff off, particularly when rumours aren’t true. I … just let it all slide off [my] back."
