Ruth Codd, a contestant on the BBC's Celebrity Traitors, has admitted to stealing items from the set during filming. The actress, who was one of the first to be 'murdered' on the show, took to social media to confess that she attempted to take a giant gold coin and a ceramic fish.
In an Instagram story, Codd shared a clip from the show's finale, where Alan Carr was awarded the prize fund for charity. She wrote: '@chattyman You actually have about 50 quid less than you thought for charity because I stole one of those golden coins at the first round table.' She later added: '(I also stole a ceramic fish).'
Codd revealed that production forced her to return both items, citing 'video evidence'. The final episode of Celebrity Traitors aired on Thursday, with Alan Carr emerging as the sole Traitor and winning the entire prize fund for his chosen charity.
This admission comes amid reports of a behind-the-scenes feud, with Codd allegedly calling fellow contestant Jonathan Ross a 'f***ing snake' after being eliminated. A source told the Daily Mail that Codd was 'furious' and felt her co-stars ignored her correct identification of Ross as a Traitor.
