Traitors Fans Predict Murder in Plain Sight Will Break Series
Traitors Fans Predict Murder in Plain Sight Chaos

Celebrity Traitors fans are convinced that the murder in plain sight task from Friday's episode will throw the game into complete chaos.

During the episode, the Traitors were instructed by host Claudia Winkleman to murder a Faithful in plain sight. Maya Jama, James Acaster and King Kenny were told to spray a deadly perfume into a room, get a Faithful to yawn there, and then ask them: "Am I boring you?"

Yawning Frenzy Targets Kemp and Hall

At the end of the episode, Ross Kemp and Jerry Hall became the targets as James Acaster and Maya Jama began yawning repeatedly in an attempt to get one of them to copy. Viewers will not see how the task unfolds until Thursday, but some are already predicting the challenge will "break the game".

Fans online have claimed there are reports that a moment during the season does not go to plan, with the format being "broken". One fan account wrote: "I have a feeling Maya and James mess up the murder in plain sight and things get messy real quick. Some of the recent reports also back this up…"

Possible Outcomes and Fan Theories

Some fans predict Hall will yawn and Kemp, who already looked suspicious at the repeated yawning, will suspect the pair. Others believe the Traitors will incriminate themselves by saying "Am I boring you, Jerry?" at the same time. If the murder is completed, production cannot step in, and two Traitors could be exposed at the round table.

One user said: "Production can't step in if they've completed the murder, and then two of the traitors will be known so could be back to back wins for faithful at the round table making for a complete mess for Claudia." Another speculated that Kenny would become the sole Traitor if no recruitment follows the first banishment.

Task Failure and Set Incident

Others theorise the Traitors may fail to make anyone yawn in time, meaning no murder occurs. Winkleman could then reveal at breakfast that the task failed, but Kemp and Hall might still share their suspicions about Jama and Acaster's odd behaviour.

Reports also suggest filming was paused briefly after Acaster became "very anxious" on set. A source told The Sun: "Everyone looks out for each other and there is a proper sense of camaraderie. It was good for James to have a breather, as everyone felt it was for the best." The break did not affect the game's outcome but reflected the "passionate and tense" atmosphere.

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Thursday at 8pm on BBC One.
