Coronation Street actress Tracy Shaw, known for playing Maxine Peacock, has told fans "another one done" as she continues her breast cancer treatment.
Shaw, 53, revealed in April that she would need five months of chemotherapy after being diagnosed with breast cancer. She has been documenting her journey on social media, sharing regular updates with her followers.
Treatment Update
On Friday (October 23), Shaw returned to Instagram after receiving Phesgo, a fixed-dose combination medicine used to treat HER2-positive breast cancer. She thanked hospital workers for their support in her post.
"Thank you to the NHS. THANK YOU to ALL oncologist nurses, your amazing. Another one done," she wrote, adding: "Thank you for all your loving messages, your ALL amazing. Thank you God. Thinking of everyone on their cancer journey, gratitude to all who have gone before."
Emotional Journey
Earlier in the week, Shaw had shared a video explaining her feelings about the treatment. She said she didn't think of herself as "fighting" the illness anymore and admitted to crying before the injection.
"I just cried because... That was the reality. The reality is that on we go," she said in the video, noting she had been "bouncing about, playing football with my son's girlfriend" after surgery but was now feeling sore under her lymph nodes.
Shaw also spoke about the mental challenges of treatment, saying: "It's just that mental block sometimes that you hit halfway through where you're just like, 'Oh, no more, please give me a break!' But I'm going in. And it will be done."

Fans and friends praised Shaw's honesty in the comments. @beckishome wrote: "You are glowing in that last picture. I know I say it all the time but you are amazing." @nickycox2323 commented: "I've been following your cancer journey, whilst going through mine.
