TOWIE star Jordan Brook has said his first weeks as a father were "tough" due to his brain injury. The reality star and Geordie Shore alum Sophie Kasaei welcomed their son in June 2026, shortly after Jordan was left unable to walk or talk during his battle with meningitis.
Struggles with Night Feeds
During his health battle, Jordan's brain swelled and though he recovered and is able to move and speak again, there was a moment when he thought he would die. He has now said that despite how happy they were to welcome their son and that he was still around to be a father, his brain injury had made parenthood tricky.
Talking to the Sun, Jordan said: "It was very tough at the beginning with things like night feeds because I was going through a brain injury recovery. Of course, Soph took so much of the brunt on which I'm so thankful that she did." He added that the doctors had told him he had to rest, insisting that he needed to be "better to be a dad". Jordan thanked Sophie, saying he couldn't have healed without her.
Sophie's 'Bittersweet' Experience
Sophie also spoke to the Sun, saying that the arrival of her son, Brody, was "bittersweet" as it followed the "worst time" of her life with Jordan. She admitted it was hard to balance knowing she was pregnant with "the best thing in the world" whilst it was still touch and go with her baby's father.
The former Geordie Shore star said that it was "very, very hard" but that carrying their child made her "stronger", especially as Jordan, when he was still hospitalised, was telling her to "stay strong". She confessed that she didn't know where she would be "mentally" if she didn't have her son.
Ongoing Recovery and Anxiety
Though Jordan has recovered from his ordeal, he shared that he was still struggling to this day. He revealed that his injury made it difficult for him to help with night feeds. However, he was excited to reveal that the daytime tasks are easier and he was hoping to make up for lost time, taking his share of the workload.
Sophie has previously admitted that she is "riddled with anxiety" following Jordan's illness. In an Instagram post, Sophie, 36, shared that she was starting to feel "more like me" after being struck with anxiety. She shared pictures of herself out at brunch with fellow former Geordie Shore stars Abbie Holborn and Nathan Henry, and said in the caption: "Finally feeling a little more like me. 8 weeks postpartum and I'm starting to come out the other side. Still riddled with anxiety when I leave the house but it's getting better. Little brunch in the sun for my girls birthday then back home for Bath and bed time." She added that she was still trying to find a "balance" as a new mum. "This is all new!" she continued. "But I'm starting to feel more like me again after trying for a baby for all them years and then being pregnant. Still early days and one step at a time."
