Former The Only Way Is Essex star Jake Hall is being remembered with the release of a previously unseen live session recorded at Abbey Road Studios, with all profits going to his young daughter following his death aged 35.
The reality TV personality, who later built a career as a fashion designer and creative, was part of music collective YOURS alongside singer Maverick Sabre, producer New Machine and DJ Sonny Hall.
Unreleased Abbey Road session released
The group have revisited their debut album, What's Mine Is YOURS, with the release of a live session recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios. Titled YOURS – Live At Abbey Road, the special performance features seven tracks from the group's 2024 album and is being released digitally alongside a full performance video on YouTube.
The session was originally recorded and filmed in June 2024 in Studio Three at Abbey Road, but has now been shared with the public for the first time.
Emotional tribute to a creative spirit
In a particularly poignant moment, the footage captures Jake creating an abstract painting in his signature style as the group perform. His artwork has since been chosen as the official cover for the release.
All profits from the project will go directly to Jake's daughter, ensuring the special tribute also helps support his little girl.
The seven-track performance includes CALLING, DÓNDE ESTÁ, DON'T KNOW WHERE I'M GOING and OUR LOVE (80'S), alongside What's Mine Is YOURS, LOVE MIGHT MAKE ME BETTER and PLEASE DON'T LET ME DOWN.
The tracks have been reimagined as one continuous live arrangement, featuring a band of leading UK musicians and backing vocals from singer-songwriter Obi Franky.
Celebration of life after tragic loss
Jake's release comes after his family organised a unique celebration of his life following his death last month.
The 35-year-old died after smashing through a glass door at his rented flat in Majorca, Spain, following a night out with friends.
His funeral was followed by a huge celebration in Shoreditch, with guests enjoying a fashion installation, an exhibition of Jake's original paintings, live music and a club night.
The event was held at Unlocked Shoreditch, owned by his brother Sonny Hall, and brought together people from across Jake's worlds of fashion, music, art and entertainment.
Speaking on behalf of the family, Sonny previously said: "We wanted to give Jake a send-off that matched who he was - not a quiet room, not a conventional goodbye."
He added: "He lived out loud. He built things. He made people feel something. Last night was our way of saying: we saw you. We're proud of you. And we're not done yet."
Jake's former partner Chloe Lewis also paid an emotional tribute to him, describing him as her "first love" and childhood sweetheart.
She said being the best dad had always been the most important thing to Jake, adding: "You did that, Jake, with pride and made it look so easy and effortless. Like I knew you would."
The new Abbey Road release offers another way for Jake's family, friends and fans to celebrate his creativity and keep his memory alive.
