Chilling CCTV footage has emerged showing The Only Way Is Essex star Jordan Wright in a heated argument just hours before his death in Thailand. The 33-year-old reality star was found dead earlier this week in Phuket, where he had relocated for a fresh start.
The footage, published by The Sun, captures Wright at 11:37pm on March 12 arguing with a mystery individual. In the clip, he is heard saying: 'Before they come back, let's get them back in the head and have a f**king shootout.' He also allegedly added: 'You better f**king perform yourself. I'm gonna go for a long time, man, you're gonna be late for your homecoming.'
Police Lieutenant Colonel Chanasin Prateep Na Thalang reported that a foreign family of three staying at The Title Hotel witnessed Wright walking alone near a drainage canal, shouting loudly as if in a frenzied state. The family heard wading sounds before silence fell around midnight. Thalang noted: 'The water level in some parts of the canal was chest-deep, and with the darkness and his agitated state, he may not have been able to climb back out.'
Additional CCTV shows Wright grabbing a white pickup truck as he ran erratically through the hotel complex. Police do not believe he was being chased but have not ruled out the involvement of others. Lieutenant Colonel Sutthirak Chuthong stated: 'The circumstances leading up to the death are quite unclear. It is possible that other people were involved.'
Wright had checked into his hotel at 7pm on March 12, and his movements until 11:30pm remain unknown. He arrived in Thailand on December 3 on a Digital Nomad visa. A hotel source said he had not been visited during his stay and that nothing seemed unusual until he failed to check out.
