Former The Only Way Is Essex cast member Jordan Wright was found dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand, an inquest has heard.
The 33-year-old, from Stanford-le-Hope in Essex, was discovered in Phuket province on March 14 this year, weeks after moving to the popular tourist destination for a fresh start.
Court co-ordinator Matthew Austin told the inquest that Wright was found in a drainage ditch off Bang Thao 2 Alley, Choeng Thale sub-district, Thalang district, Phuket province. His body was repatriated to Essex and a post-mortem examination was conducted at Basildon Hospital.
The cause of death is yet to be recorded, with toxicology results from Thailand still awaited. Tributes were paid by fellow TOWIE stars, including Chloe Brockett who wrote on Instagram: 'Rest in peace Jordan,' and Liam 'Gatsby' Blackwell who said: 'Miss you already, brother.'
A Foreign Office spokesperson said: 'We are supporting the family of a British man who has died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities.'
