Tori Spelling Cancels Las Vegas 90s Party Due to Illness, Heartbroken Star Postpones Event
Tori Spelling cancels 90s Vegas party due to illness

Actress Tori Spelling has been forced to pull out of a highly anticipated 90s-themed event in Las Vegas this weekend after falling ill. The star shared the disappointing news with her fans in an emotional social media post.

Event Postponed on Health Grounds

Spelling, 52, was scheduled to host the '90s After Dark party alongside her former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' co-star Brian Austin Green. The event was set to take place at The Voltaire music venue within The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas on Sunday, 28 December.

In a statement posted to her Instagram on Friday, a heartbroken Spelling explained her decision. She told her followers that she needed to be honest about her health and postpone the event. The actress expressed how much she had been looking forward to the night and how it pained her to delay it.

"Right now, I have to listen to my body and choose my health," she wrote, thanking fans for their understanding. She assured everyone that a new date for the party would be announced very soon.

Nostalgic Bash Loses Its Host

The one-night-only party was designed to be a full immersion into 1990s nostalgia. Promotional material billed it as a chance to be "transported back in time to the 1990s." The evening was to feature a DJ playing classic hits from the decade and a special throwback performance by the R&B group Color Me Badd.

Spelling had been enthusiastically promoting the event for weeks, posting on social media with the tagline: "David + Donna are BACK in Vegas BABY! Same iconic duo different zip code…"—a reference to their beloved characters from the iconic teen drama.

Spelling's Recent Personal Milestones

The cancellation comes after a busy holiday period for the actress. She recently celebrated Christmas with her five children: Liam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, eight. The children are from her marriage to ex-husband Dean McDermott.

Spelling's divorce from McDermott, 59, was finalised last month. She has publicly described the split as "one of the easiest divorces in Hollywood," noting on her podcast 'misSPELLING' that the couple had no problems during the proceedings despite their marital ups and downs.

For now, fans of the 90s icon will have to wait a little longer to see her reunite with Brian Austin Green on stage in Las Vegas. The star's priority is clearly her health, as she steps back to recover.
