Coronation Street star Tony Maudsley has given fans a rare insight into his private life by sharing adorable photos of his dog after a grooming session. The actor, who plays undertaker George Shuttleworth on the ITV soap, posted the images on Instagram, showing his pet Bosie looking fresh and clean.
Maudsley, 57, took Bosie to a new groomer in Worsley Village and was delighted with the results. In his caption, he wrote: “Took Bosie to a new groomers today in Worsley Village and they did a great job! They even cleaned his teeth (well the few he's got left!).” He added: “New business so give them a try if you're local! Idyllic setting so perfect for a lovely walk, post-pamper!!”
The post prompted a flurry of compliments from fans and co-stars alike. Sally Carman, who plays Abi Franklin on the soap, commented: “Blow OUT,” accompanied by a love heart eyes emoji. Other followers gushed: “Beautiful boy! Looking fab Bosie,” and “Omg he is so cute! That face!”
Maudsley joined Coronation Street in 2020 as George Shuttleworth, taking over the family funeral business after the death of his father Archie. He has since become a fan favourite, with storylines including relationships with Eileen Grimshaw and current love interest Christina Boyd. Off-screen, the actor is known for roles in Queer As Folk, Benidorm, and Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
