Liam Gallagher has moved into the £4m Cotswolds home once owned by Arsenal legend Tony Adams, who has revealed the sale allows his wife to go to university.
Adams, 59, and Poppy Teacher, 53, had owned the property near Cirencester since 2002, reportedly buying it for half the price it was later listed at. They put the estate on the market in December and are now returning to London.
The home comes with a swimming pool, tennis courts, stables and a separate two-bedroom cottage. Adams has described the move as a "new era" for the couple.
Why the couple sold up
Speaking to The Mail, Adams said: "This is a new era for us. We've sold the house and are returning to London. My wife is going back to school."
Teacher will study for a Master's in early modern history. She told the Mail Adams was confused when she revealed her plan: "He said, 'How do you monetise that?' and I said 'You don't!' But I think he's proud. He's telling everyone I'm doing a PhD, but it's a masters."
She added that she felt the "need to use my brain again" after bringing up children. The couple share three children together, Atticus, Hector and Iris. Adams also has two children, Oliver and Amber, from his first marriage to Jane Shea.
Liam's Cotswolds life
Oasis star Liam Gallagher now lives in the house with his fiancée Debbie Gwyther and their dog, Buttons. He reportedly used earnings from the Oasis Live '25 world tour to buy it.
Gallagher has already won over his new neighbours. When a fan on X asked how they were treating him, he replied: "They're absolutely incredible. They have not stopped baking me cakes and scones."
He is among several celebrities who have settled in the Cotswolds in recent years, including Simon Cowell, the Beckhams and Kate Moss. A source told The Sun: "Liam loves the countryside and the house is the perfect retreat following the mammoth Oasis tour. Liam is also very fond of his rescue dog Buttons so wanted to find a home with plenty of outdoor space. He loves hosting so is looking forward to welcoming friends and family to the home."
