The family of actor Tommy Lee Jones has requested privacy following the death of his daughter, Victoria Jones, who was found unresponsive at the Fairmont San Francisco hotel on New Year's Day.
In a statement, the family said: 'We appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and prayers. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.'
Victoria Jones, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene after police responded to a medical emergency at around 3am. A dispatch audio obtained by TMZ described the incident as a 'code 3 for the overdose, colour change'. Officials have not released a cause of death, and police have said they do not suspect foul play.
Jones was the daughter of the Oscar-winning actor and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley, who divorced in 1996. She appeared in films as a child, including Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, as well as the TV series One Tree Hill.
Court records obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle show Victoria Jones faced several misdemeanour arrests last year, including for drug-related offences and domestic battery. In 2023, her father successfully petitioned for a temporary conservatorship, citing 'life-threatening conduct' and the need for drug rehabilitation.
