Tommy Fury Rejects $1m Jake Paul Fight Offer as 'Not Worth Getting Out of Bed For'

Tommy Fury has dismissed Jake Paul's final offer of $1 million for a fight, claiming the sum is insufficient for a bout of this magnitude. In a video posted to Instagram Stories, the Love Island star stated that the offer was 'not even worth getting out of bed for'.

Fury explained that the fight would generate millions of pounds, making the proposed purse negligible. He accused Paul of using a 'smart tactic' to make it appear as though he was avoiding the fight, while in reality the offers were not serious.

The boxer reiterated that he is willing to fight Paul but only if a 'serious offer' is presented. He said: 'Tomorrow or tonight is soon enough to fight you – get your figures up and we can talk.'

The rivalry stems from their encounter backstage after Fury defeated Paul's sparring partner Anthony Taylor on the undercard of Paul's bout with Tyron Woodley. Paul had initially claimed on Twitter that Fury had rejected two 'abundant offers' before making the $1m ultimatum.
