Tom Holland and Zendaya to throw wedding party at Belvoir Castle
Tom Holland and Zendaya wedding party at Belvoir Castle

Tom Holland and Zendaya are planning a lavish party at Belvoir Castle in Leicestershire to celebrate their secret wedding, which took place a few months ago. The couple had kept their nuptials under wraps, but Holland recently confirmed the marriage after images of the pair at Lake Como went viral.

Secret wedding revealed

The Spider-Man star, 30, let slip that he was married when he was forced to send messages to family telling them the pictures were fake. When asked if he had to repeat the same messages to other family members, he said: "No, because they were all there. That's all you'll get on that."

Party plans at Belvoir Castle

According to the Daily Mail, the couple is set to hold the party at Belvoir Castle, a stately home on the grounds of a 1066 castle from the Norman Conquest. The venue is still owned by the family but open to the public and available for private hire. However, there are ticks on site after a person linked to the castle picked up a Lyme-disease-causing insect from the long grass.

A source told the publication: "Tom and Zendaya have since been insistent that no guests should be allowed near that section of the grounds, lest any of the Hollywood A-listers also be subjected to a tick bite." They added: "They were perusing the grounds recently, pointing out where they wanted the grand piano and other tents."

Zendaya's coy response

The Odyssey actress kept quiet about wedding rumours while ironically promoting her wedding film The Drama. On Jimmy Kimmel, when asked about the rumours, she quipped: "Really? I haven't seen any of that!" However, her stylist let the cat out of the bag in March, saying: "The wedding has already happened. You missed it."

Tom's thoughts on marriage

In an interview with Esquire, Tom spoke highly of his wife: "Our business can present very stressful situations and it's really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time. We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it's like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don't understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else."
