Tom Daley's Drag Makeover Stuns Fans

Tom Daley has shared photographs of his jaw-dropping drag queen transformation, announcing his switch from "diver to diva" in a remarkable makeover. The 32-year-old former Olympic champion, from Devon, appeared completely unrecognisable on Instagram following his collaboration with Plastique Beauty.

The Team GB hero sported a full face of cosmetics – including foundation, blusher and lipstick. He also donned an ash blonde wig featuring plaits that complemented his newly-acquired curves.

Fans React to Dramatic Change

"I can't believe this is me," he penned in a caption. Plastique Beauty commented on their creation: "From Diver to Diva. Tom Daley in a custom look + Alba from the Phantasy collection."

The series of snaps showed Tom striking poses for the lens alongside Plastique Beauty's Tiara, before beaming broadly as she fine-tuned his tresses. Then the duo took a selfie, which was subsequently shared on social media.

Responding to the post, one of Tom's followers confessed: "I saw the Tom Daley tag and was wondering where he was!" A second agreed: "I had to triple check the user name!" Similarly, a third person added: "Goodness gracious... had you not mentioned... it is impossible to recognise you! You look gorgeous anyway, any day, in any look." While a fourth Instagram user exclaimed: "You make an absolutely stunning woman, wow factor gorgeousness."

Passion for Drag and Family Life

Despite Tom's glamorous transformation, which may surprise some supporters, the Olympian has been vocal and proud about his passion for drag. Tom graced the screen as a guest judge on series two of RuPaul's Drag Race UK vs The World, which debuted in early 2024. A self-proclaimed super-fan of the franchise, he expressed that his stint on the judging panel had been a "long time coming".

Away from the limelight, meanwhile, Tom enjoys a tranquil family life with his husband Dustin Lance Black and their two children. The couple tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their first child the following year, with Tom frequently expressing how crucial his family life is to him.

"I used to define myself by diving," Tom confessed to the Mirror in 2021. "If I dived well it reflected on me as a person. Now I'm first and foremost a father and husband."

In 2018, the pair welcomed their first child, Robert 'Robbie' Ray, via surrogacy. The name serves as a touching tribute to Tom's late father Robert, who passed away in 2011. Their second son, Phoenix, was born in 2023, also through surrogacy. Tom later announced his retirement from competitive diving after the 2024 Summer Olympics.
