A contestant who appeared on Tipping Point has disclosed what presenter Ben Shephard was like when filming ended. Ellie Millar, a social media influencer with 2.9 million TikTok followers, took part in the ITV game show in 2022 and won some prize money.
Millar recorded her episode in May 2022, and it aired in October of that year. She told her TikTok followers that Shephard was 'so lovely' and described meeting him before the show began. 'He was just talking to the producer and was like 'hi guys, are you okay?'' she recalled. 'He was so, so lovely and I was a bit starstruck. The whole day was such a blur, even thinking back on it now there's only specific things I remember.'
Winning and Ben's Offer
During the final round, Millar played alone for a potential £10,000 but performed 'terrible,' accumulating only £2,100. When Shephard asked if she wanted to continue for the full jackpot, she chose to secure the money instead.
After the show, Millar said Shephard asked if she wanted a photo. She explained: 'After the show Ben was like 'would you like to get a photo?' So yeah, I was chatting to Ben saying this money can get me and my boyfriend to Bali and I left.'
Contract Rules
Millar noted that producers made her sign a contract not to disclose the outcome of the show until it aired. 'The only rules I was told is that I couldn't disclose to anyone what the outcome of the show was. I did tell my mum though, I'm not going to lie,' she admitted.
Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
