Love Island star Tina Rad, who was recently dumped from the villa, has addressed an untelevised feud following explosive remarks made by former Islander Namibia. Appearing on Aftersun, the Newcastle native dismissed Namibia's comments as "all lies."
Namibia's Allegations
Namibia, who exited the show a week prior, appeared on ex-Islander Tyrique Hyde's stream where she disclosed minimal interaction with bombshell Tina, despite sharing living quarters. She claimed Tina had been "staring" at her after her trip to the Hideaway with Aidan, and that Tina called her "thingy." Namibia said: "We were eating lunch and she was like 'Are you alright, I don't think you're alright', like don't do that you know why I'm not alright and that was the only conversation I had with her." She added: "I'm hearing she's calling me 'thingy', the f****** cheek. You know how rude that is, someone should've told me that in there because how dare you."
Tina's Response on Aftersun
Tina addressed the comments after her brutal dumping alongside Tommy Murphy. Asked by a fan about Namibia's claims, Tina said: "Guys I actually messaged her before I came here because I was shocked when I seen that. So basically we were completely fine in the villa, like yes I took Aidan and I did call her 'thingy', but unfortunately I have a really bad memory and I can never remember names. I called Yas, Ellie twice, so it was really bad. She told us off for it." She continued: "But I messaged her because I didn't understand it, in the villa we were fine, we were chatting, she was like we're okay, we're good. And then as soon as she came out, it was all lies. So I just messaged her I was like I don't understand why you went on a podcast and made that up. I was confused, I don't get it but I'll let you know what she replies." Tommy quipped: "If she replies."
Viewer Reactions
Viewers were split over Tina's use of "thingy." One Reddit user posted: "Yeah I just thought it was a bit rude tbh, didnt think much else of it." Another commented: "I think this is a very Newcastle thing, it doesn't come from a bad place or disrespect. My friend from Newcastle does it all the time it's just part of the lingo."
Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
