Thomas Skinner, former Apprentice candidate, has expressed regret over participating in Strictly Come Dancing, stating he 'wishes he'd never done' the show due to what he describes as 'constant abuse'. Skinner was eliminated in the first week of the 23rd series alongside professional dancer Amy Dowden.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on October 15, Skinner vented his frustration, saying he 'can't do anything right now without someone criticising me'. He claimed a 'narrative has been spun' against him, leading to public scrutiny and abuse that has affected his daily life, including being beeped at while driving his van.
Skinner acknowledged he is 'struggling' and needs a break to focus on his family. He later shared a picture with his wife Sinead and their three children, calling himself 'the luckiest man in the world' and emphasising the importance of family.
Despite his early exit, Skinner had previously spoken positively about his experience, praising Dowden and saying he 'loved it' and 'had fun'. However, his recent comments indicate a significant change in sentiment following the public reaction.
