Thomas Law's Family Life: Co-Star Mum and Hollywood Ex

Thomas Law, known for portraying Peter Beale on EastEnders, comes from a family with strong ties to the BBC soap. The 33-year-old actor's mother and sister both work on the show behind the scenes, a fact he revealed during a press event. Law originally played Peter Beale from 2006 to 2010 before reprising the role in 2023.

Family Connections to EastEnders

Law shared that his mother and sister learned of his return to the soap before the public, as they work on the show. 'My mum and sister both work at EastEnders, so they found out two weeks into me knowing as they heard a few whispers which they, of course, had to keep a secret too,' he said. This behind-the-scenes family presence adds a personal layer to his portrayal of the iconic character.

Peter Beale's Storylines

Peter Beale first appeared in 1993 as the son of Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), twin to the late Lucy Beale. Over 33 years, Peter has been involved in major plots, including Cindy's return after 25 years, discovering half-sisters Gina and Anna Knight, and the recent heartbreak of his son Jimmy being born severely sight impaired. He also dealt with his mother's relationship with his father-in-law Max Branning and his father Ian facing prison after a hit-and-run. Peter now runs the fruit and veg stall in the market after Martin Fowler's death.

His return to EastEnders in 2023 allowed him to act alongside Michelle Collins for the first time since she left in 1998.

Personal Life

Law keeps his romantic life private, but in 2024 he was linked to camera assistant Tylor Jane after a public outing at Whipsnade Zoo. He has previously been linked to former EastEnders co-star Madeline Duggan and Hollywood actress Sofia Carson, with whom he co-starred in the 2016 film A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits.
