In her Instagram post, Jenny wrote: "You might notice my new scar. You'd be hard pushed to not spot it, given it's right on the front of my neck." She explained that her thyroid gland had "made a bid for fame" by growing so large that it had "started causing some problems," leading to its removal.

Jenny assured fans: "I'm fine. Surgery was all good and the consultant was very happy. My voice still works and it's healing nicely. Thanks to the head and neck gang and all the terrific people who looked after me at UCH [University College Hospital]. The NHS is beyond wonderful."

Upcoming Spin-Off: The Chase Around the World

This health update comes shortly after Jenny appeared in a trailer for the new spin-off, The Chase Around the World. The series will follow six pairs of contestants who must locate all six Chasers hiding across the globe. Using general knowledge, observation skills, and intellect, contestants solve clues to track down the Chasers while encountering landmarks and culturally significant sites. The final pair to arrive at each destination must face off against the Chasers to remain in the competition.

The final destination will see the remaining contestants compete for a life-altering prize. In the trailer, Jenny and fellow Chaser Mark Labbett stood in front of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The video was captioned: "BOOKING CONFIRMED. Trip: Some seriously epic locations. Travellers: Six Chasers & six pairs of contestants. Mission: Stay one step ahead."

Bradley Walsh, host of the show, said: "This bold new take on The Chase combines quizzing with travelling and will test contestants' knowledge like never before."
