The Chase Around The World, a new spin-off of the popular ITV quiz show The Chase, premieres on Thursday evening, July 16, at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX. Hosted by Bradley Walsh, the series follows six teams of two as they travel the globe to track down all six Chasers hidden in various locations. The show aims to capitalise on the success of the original series, which has been a daytime staple since 2009 and has won seven National Television Awards.
Rules of The Chase Around The World
Each episode sees teams using general knowledge, observation skills, and intellect to solve clues and locate the Chasers. The pair that arrives last at each destination must face the Chasers in a quiz. If they win, they gain a time advantage for the next city, choosing which team leaves last. If they lose, they are eliminated immediately.
Full Line-Up of Chasers
The six Chasers are: Mark Labbett (The Beast), Anne Hegerty (The Governess), Paul Sinha (Sinnerman), Jenny Ryan (The Vixen), Shaun Wallace (The Dark Destroyer), and Darragh Ennis (The Menace).
Contestants
The six teams are: Nicola and Maddie (mother and daughter), Kati and Amy (couple), Dilan and Emily (engaged couple), David and Steven (father and son), Matt and Cerys (friends), and Ashwin and Nikita (father and daughter).
How to Win
The last team standing must then beat the Chasers in a final quiz to win the £100,000 prize. Bradley Walsh teased the series, saying: "I would describe it as The Chase… but around the world! It’s out and about. It was very different doing it on location, in these incredible places, instead of being in a studio. I’ve been locked in Elstree Studios for 17 years!"
