Tess Daly has been seen reuniting with her lookalike daughter Phoebe Kay at the Wimbledon 2026 men's final, marking one of her first public appearances since announcing her split from husband Vernon Kay in May.
Mother-Daughter Day at Centre Court
The 57-year-old presenter and her 20-year-old daughter were spotted enjoying the championship match on Centre Court alongside celebrities including David Tennant, Celia Imrie and Louis Theroux. Tess shared photos on Instagram on Monday, captioning them: "Huge thanks to @champagnelanson for hosting such an incredible day at the Wimbledon Men’s Final. Champagne, sunshine, and world-class tennis - doesn’t get much better than that."
Fans quickly commented on the resemblance between mother and daughter. User @sasstein66 wrote: "Gorgeous girls," while @philipbett7122024 said: "Look like sisters." @fionaconlin echoed the sentiment, and @vickibarnes847 commented: "Looking absolutely gorgeous."
Phoebe's Time in New York
Phoebe had previously revealed in January that she had moved to New York City, sharing a photo from a rooftop bar with the caption: "Home for a while..." However, since then, both Tess and Vernon have been seen reuniting with her on multiple occasions, including a family holiday in the Caribbean before the split announcement.
Split Announcement and Wedding Rings
Tess arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club wearing an elegant floor-length pastel-coloured dress and was photographed still wearing her wedding rings, two months after the split was made public. In May, Tess and Vernon, 52, released a joint statement on Instagram Stories confirming their separation after 22 years of marriage.
The statement read: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us." They added: "We remain great friends and most importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority."
Background of the Couple
Tess and Vernon met in 2001 at a BBC Christmas party while working for rival channels. They married in 2003 at St Mary's Catholic Church in Horwich, near Bolton, Vernon's hometown. The couple have two daughters: Phoebe and Amber, now 18.
