Tess Daly and Vernon Kay's Quickie Divorce Plans Revealed

Tess Daly and Vernon Kay are reportedly heading for a 'quickie' divorce, with sources indicating the couple have 'nothing to fight over' and expect the legal process to remain amicable. The pair shocked fans last month when they announced their separation after 22 years of marriage, stating they had made the decision 'with a deep sense of care and respect for one another.'

Amicable Split and Quickie Divorce Plans

A source told the Mirror that Tess does not want to spend thousands on solicitors. 'A friend suggested they look at getting a quickie divorce online. They don't see there's anything to fight over and know they'll agree on everything fairly,' the source said. Another insider close to the couple revealed they are determined to 'keep it classy' as they move on to the next chapter. The couple are reportedly still living under the same roof and have 'effectively re-coupled as friends,' with no plans to fight over assets.

Assets and Finances

Tess and Vernon share daughters Phoebe, 21, and Amber, 16, and want to divide their assets fairly. Their combined worth is estimated at £6m. Their family home in Buckinghamshire, purchased for £1.18m in 2018, is now valued at around £3m. Vernon also owns a £370,000 property in his hometown of Bolton. The couple jointly own 21TV Limited, a production company with approximately £740,000 in assets. Vernon reportedly earns around £393,000 for his Radio 2 show, while Tess, who left Strictly last year, was said to take home £400k annually, boosted by brand deals and her company Naia Beach.

United Front and Future

Despite the split, the couple have appeared together at events such as the Pub In The Park food festival, with Tess still wearing her wedding ring. In their separation announcement, they admitted the decision 'had not been an easy choice' but came 'from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.' The source added that they will 'always stay close.' Daily Star has contacted representatives of Tess and Vernon for comment.
