Teddy Swims, the Grammy-nominated artist known for blending R&B, soul and pop, will headline Blackweir Live in Cardiff on Friday, June 26, 2026. The Atlanta native, who rose to fame through YouTube covers and achieved multi-platinum success, will be joined by his band Freak Freely.

Event Timings and Support Acts

Doors open at 5pm. Support act Jordan Rakei, a New Zealand-Australian musician with over 1.6 million monthly Spotify listeners, takes the stage at 6:05pm. Canadian singer-songwriter Lauren Spencer Smith, a Juno Award nominee, performs at 7:20pm. Teddy Swims is scheduled to headline from 8:45pm until approximately 10:30pm. Organisers advise arriving early as times may change.

Expected Set List

While no official set list has been confirmed, based on his recent gig at Malahide Castle in Ireland on June 23, 2026, fans can expect songs including “The Door,” “Lose Control,” “Guilty,” “Bad Dreams,” and covers such as Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One” and Van Halen’s “Jump.” The full set is anticipated to feature 28 tracks.

Banned Items and Security

Chairs, portable seating, inflatables and rucksacks larger than A4 size are prohibited. Bag searches will be conducted at all entry points. No food or drink may be brought in, except for medical or dietary needs with prior approval and supporting documentation. Assistance dogs are permitted; other dogs are not. Each person may bring two sealed 500ml water bottles and two empty reusable bottles. Free water refill stations are available on site.

Road Closures and Parking

From 4pm to midnight, several roads will be closed: Castle Street, Duke Street, Kingsway, North Road (from Colum Road to Boulevard De Nantes), Boulevard De Nantes to Park Place, and Cowbridge Road East from Cathedral Road to Westgate Street. The Civic Centre area, including King Edward VII Avenue, Museum Avenue, City Hall Road, College Road and Gorsedd Gardens Road, will be controlled from 7am. No parking is available at the venue; public car parks at the Civic Centre, Sophia Gardens and city centre locations are recommended. Local bus services will be diverted; check operator websites for details.

Tickets and Entry

Tickets are mobile-only via Ticketmaster. Resale tickets may be available from £60.25 on StubHub or from £74.55 on Ticketmaster. All tickets must be downloaded before arrival; screenshots will not be accepted.
