Taylor Swift has forcefully rejected speculation that she plans to stop making music after marrying Travis Kelce, calling the idea 'shockingly offensive'. The singer addressed the rumours in a BBC Radio 2 interview with Scott Mills, after fans suggested her upcoming album 'The Life of a Showgirl' might be her last.
Mills raised the topic, noting that some fans had speculated Swift would retire from music to focus on marriage and family. Swift responded with visible disgust, stating: 'That's a shockingly offensive thing to say. That's not why people get married — so they can quit their job.'
Swift praised her fiancé for supporting her career, saying: 'I love the person that I am with because he loves what I do, and he loves how much I am fulfilled by making art and making music. That's the coolest thing about Travis. He is so passionate about what he does that me being passionate about what I do… it connects us.'
The singer also reflected on her creative journey, noting that she has moved on from the dark headspace that inspired her 2024 album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. 'I was in such a different place in my life when I wrote it. Just miserable. And then when I put it out, I was so happy. So it was like, ah, I love this art. I love this beautiful art about misery. I, however, am not miserable anymore,' she explained.
