The Tartan Army has made their descent on Miami for the next Scotland match, and they have welcomed a new member: a two-legged walking kilted robot dubbed 'Robot the Bruce'.
Robot Joins the Party
In a video uploaded to TikTok, a crowd of Scots can be heard chanting 'No Robot No Party' as the silver human-shaped machine turns around in a circle to get a look at everyone. The robot, which has a huge QR code on its back, is dressed in a green and red kilt with a matching tartan scarf and can even be seen posing for a snap with a young couple at the end of the video.
The clip, which has now gone viral online, is captioned: "Look at this wee guy staggering aboot like the rest of us."
Social Media Reactions
Social media users rushed to the comments in disbelief. One replied: "We had a duck, we got dog cats, a robot, we get a dolphin next. I wonder what's next after that." A second wrote: "Nae passport, nae ticket, nae clue. Just appeared in Miami shoutin' 'C'MON THEN YA B**B***!'. Wee Shug's first day in Miami and he's already askin where the nearest Wetherspoons is." A third amused Scot joked: "Mad wi the WD40!!!" Someone else penned: "Robot the Bruce has his own Tartan! what a guy ... he needs a cone."
Scotland's World Cup Journey
The Tartan Army has now given Southern Florida its own Scottish makeover as they take over another US city with their traffic cone antics and bagpipe tunes. It comes just hours before the Scots take on Brazil at Miami Stadium tomorrow evening on Wednesday, June 24 at 11pm BST. The match is Scotland's third World Cup game in the tournament and is the final game before the knockout stages begin.
If Steve Clarke's team qualifies, it will be a historic moment for the nation, marking a first for Scotland in all of World Cup history. The Scots got off to a tremendous start earlier this month when they won their first World Cup match in 36 years with a 1-0 victory against Haiti. However, Morocco's win on Friday evening (June 19) knocked the Scots off the top of Group C after they scored a goal just 70 seconds into the game. The dream is not over yet as Scotland is still in with a chance of going through as one of the best third-placed teams.
