Why Tana Ramsay stayed silent on Holly's wedding feud with Adam Peaty's family
Tana Ramsay avoids Holly's wedding row as 'peacemaker'

The mother of Holly Ramsay has notably refrained from entering the public dispute surrounding her daughter's recent wedding to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, with friends revealing her character as a natural 'peacemaker'.

The Silent Stance on Social Media

Tana Ramsay, 51, who is married to celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, made no mention of the high-profile wedding on her Instagram page last week. This silence persisted despite the significant controversy that led to most of Adam Peaty's family being banned from the ceremony at Bath Abbey. Notably, Tana has not even shared a photograph of Holly and Adam since their engagement back in 2023.

While Gordon Ramsay appeared to make pointed remarks during his father-of-the-bride speech in front of roughly 200 guests, Tana maintained her discreet position. Insiders close to the family confirm this was a deliberate choice, reflecting her personal nature.

'Tana the Peacemaker': Friends Reveal Her Nature

A friend of the Ramsay family explained the reasoning behind Tana's low profile. "Tana is the kindest, sweetest and most down-to-earth woman you could wish to meet," the source said. "Parenting is her thing and she's done her very best to bring her children up with morals, manners and tried to teach them to do the right thing."

The friend emphasised Tana's role as the family's calming influence, labelling her "the calming mother hen, the peacemaker". They added that the scale of the fallout, which resulted in a mother missing her own child's wedding, was "just awful".

Another source highlighted that Tana, a trained Montessori teacher, "isn't someone who likes confrontation" and has been similarly supportive of friend Victoria Beckham during her own family difficulties.

A Touching Tribute and Moving Forward

Despite the surrounding drama, touching family moments shone through. Holly, 26, chose to wear her mother's own wedding dress from nearly 30 years ago as one of her three wedding gowns. In a Vogue feature she oversaw, Holly gushed about the garment: "It's beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fitted me perfectly — it didn't need any altering."

Tana, who shares six children with Gordon, is understood to have been deeply moved by this sentimental gesture. She is said to remain immensely proud of all her children, irrespective of any public controversies or family showdowns. While Holly used the Vogue platform to make apparent digs at Peaty's estranged relatives, she also took the opportunity to celebrate her own close-knit family unit.
