Former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite has candidly discussed her ongoing relationship with ex-partner Tom Child following their split, emphasising their successful co-parenting dynamic.
The 53-year-old star, best known for her role as Melanie Owen in the BBC soap, confirmed that she and Child, 37, remain on good terms for the sake of their two daughters, Florence, 15, and Marnie, 10.
'We're Doing What's Best for the Kids'
Outhwaite explained, "We still see each other regularly because we're committed to raising our children together. It's not always easy, but we're making it work."
The couple, who had been together for eight years before separating in 2022, have managed to maintain a healthy post-breakup relationship. "Communication is key," Outhwaite stressed during a recent interview.
Life After the Split
Since parting ways, Outhwaite has focused on her acting career and parenting, while Child has pursued his own professional endeavours. Despite the challenges of separation, the former couple have prioritised their children's wellbeing above all else.
"We might not be together romantically, but we'll always be a family," the actress added, demonstrating maturity in handling their changed circumstances.
