Amanda Holden has revealed she attended a parents' evening via Zoom wearing a swimming costume and drinking a glass of rosé, as her daughter's teachers were 'stuck in a stock cupboard' at school. The 54-year-old Britain's Got Talent judge made the admission during an interview on ITV's Good Morning Britain.
Holden explained that due to hot weather, she opted for a swimming costume rather than a bikini, positioning her iPad at her neckline so teachers only saw that view. She said every teacher remarked how 'jammy' she was, unaware she also had a 'sneaky little rosé under her deck chair'.
The presenter also shared her wish for a group, such as the Post Office Choir—impacted by the Horizon scandal—to win this year's Britain's Got Talent. She stated it would be 'amazing for the money to be divvied out amongst all of them' and for the joy to be spread at the Royal Variety Performance.
When asked by host Richard Madeley if judges ever feel bullied into pressing the golden buzzer, Holden said 'bullied' was a strong word, but admitted they are 'heavily encouraged' due to the live audience and public vote, adding 'the audience is never wrong'.
Britain's Got Talent returns on ITV and ITVX on Sunday at 7pm, moved from its usual Saturday slot because of the FA Cup final.
