Take That superfan gets wedding offer from Mark Owen

Charlotte Pethers, a devoted Take That fan, was left speechless when Mark Owen made a rare offer for her wedding day. The 41-year-old spoke exclusively to Daily Star on behalf of Betway about her lifelong obsession with the boyband.

Lifelong obsession

Charlotte has been a superfan from the start: "I had posters all over my walls. When I ran out of space, I put them on the ceiling!" Her husband often joins her at concerts: "He doesn't have a choice. He does enjoy it, though. He thinks I'm a little bit OTT. I've decorated my car with stickers when I go to concerts."

When they met Mark at an album signing, her husband came along. "I don't think he really understands why I love Take That so much, but it's just part of who I am. He's supportive."

Tattoo tribute

Charlotte, who is "terrified of needles," overcame her fear to get the Take That logo tattooed on her wrist. "It was important for me to put my fear aside, and it is a permanent thing forever, but my love for Take That has never changed - so why wouldn't I? I'm so pleased I got it done."

The wedding offer

Charlotte once gave Mark an invite to her wedding when they met in Westfield shopping centre. She recalled: "He said to me: 'Oh, I've never been to Turkey, I can come and sing at your wedding if you'll have me,' but I have no clue as to whether he passed the invites on, as I never heard back. But that is something I will always remember."

She described meeting Mark as a "dream come true" as he was "absolutely amazing and so down-to-earth."
