Joe Swash has been seen sharing a welcome message as his and Stacey Solomon's plans to expand their sprawling land continue to take shape with some recent new arrivals.
The couple, who tied the knot back in 2022 and share three children together, have documented their plans to expand beyond their Pickle Cottage home in their BBC reality series, Stacey & Joe, which was earlier this year confirmed for a third run.
Third Series of Stacey & Joe
According to the broadcaster, "the series, which follows the warmth, chaos and humour of family life at Pickle Cottage, follows Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash as they juggle their busiest chapter yet."
The synopsis continues: "This time, however, that family dynamic expands beyond the cottage gates, as Joe finally takes the leap to realise a long-held dream: opening his own fishing lake and glamping site. What begins as Joe’s personal passion quickly becomes a full family endeavour, naturally drawing in Stacey’s creativity, the kids’ energy and the wider family’s support."
Joe hopes the lake can be more than just a business. Having always found fishing to be a form of therapy, he’s passionate about creating a space where young people – particularly teenagers struggling with ADHD or mental health challenges – can come and spend time by the water.
"Across three episodes, we follow the highs, setbacks and humour of a family pulling together to achieve something meaningful – all leading to the grand opening of Joe’s fishing lake, where Stacey and Joe finally see if their shared dream has paid off."
Social Media Updates
While fans wait for the new series to arrive on BBC One and BBC iPlayer, Joe and Stacey have both been sharing regular updates on social media. Last week, Joe couldn't hide his delight as he revealed his 'biggest milestone' to date in his major plan to have his own fishing lake and open a glamping site as he welcomed the arrival of some fish.
He has since returned to Instagram with a photo showing his young children the new arrivals, which he captioned on Instagram: "Welcoming the Fish to our family @staceysolomon."
And he's since revealed his new job, which comes after Stacey revealed the arrival of two sweet rescue ponies. "My new favourite pastime? Shovelling [poo emoji]... said no one ever [crying laughing face and heart emojis]. Love our girls," former EastEnders star Joe wrote alongside the video of him getting the job done.
Rescue Ponies Arrive
Stacey previously said on her own social media page alongside a video of the ponies arriving at Pickle Cottage: "We are officially Pony Foster Parents [crying face and horse emojis].
"Meet Thumbelina & Mermaid. They are two girls who were rescued by the incredible Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Thumbelina was seriously neglected when she was rescued by Redwings who saved her & mermaid’s owner could no longer look after her [single tear crying emoji]. So we are so grateful to be able to offer them a home. In the hope that they’re happy and want to stay forever one day."
The Sort Your Life Out host continued: "We have a grass area sectioned off for them & also a dry area. Redwings will check in and visit us and give us all of the guidance we need to be the best pony parents for mermaid and Thumbelina. One of my dearest friends Lianne from the incredible Hopefield Animal sanctuary is going to be our Pony hand/extra pony Mumma. As we do not take rescuing animals lightly and want to be the absolute best foster parents we can be."
