Susanna Reid, the Good Morning Britain presenter, has had a love life that often makes headlines. She was in a long-term relationship with fellow journalist Dominic Cotton from 1998 until their split in 2014. They have three children together: Sam, Finn, and Jack. The separation came after her time on Strictly Come Dancing, but Susanna has always said the show was not the cause.
Co-Parenting with Dominic Cotton
Despite their split, Susanna and Dominic remain close friends and lived together for several years afterward. She told The Sun's Fabulous Magazine: "We still get on so well, Dom is still such a hands-on dad, and we really co-parent. So we live separately but together and happily in the same house. I'm not saying everybody can do it and I definitely think people are surprised that we can do it this way."
Decision Not to Marry
Susanna has been open about her choice never to marry. On Good Morning Britain, she explained: "It was a personal choice. It's a bit of an old-fashioned idea that children are 'illegitimate' if you're not married. Children are legitimate, whether you're married or not!"
Romance with Steve Parish
In later years, Susanna dated Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish. The relationship began around 2018, but details were kept private. She told The Sun: "It's not a secret, but it's private. I am very, very happy at the moment, but I don't want to be married." The couple split in April 2019. On GMB, when Piers Morgan asked if she was single again, Susanna replied: "Let's not dwell. I'm fine. We're fine. We're very good friends. We were at the match on Saturday." In 2021, she interviewed Steve on GMB, focusing only on football.
