Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid took a light-hearted swipe at Cat Deeley's outfit during a live broadcast on Tuesday, July 7. The 55-year-old host, alongside co-host Ed Balls, was interviewing actress Vanessa Williams about her role in The Devil Wears Prada musical when the conversation turned to the upcoming segment on This Morning.
Before handing over to This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who are filling in for Lorraine Kelly, Susanna asked Vanessa if she enjoyed watching Tipping Point. Vanessa enthusiastically replied, "I love Tipping Point!" prompting Susanna to note, "That's good you said that," before directing the broadcast to Ben and Cat.
Susanna's Comment About Cat's Dress
As the camera focused on Ben and Cat, who were seen eating ice creams on the blue sofa due to the hot weather, Susanna remarked, "It's so hot, Cat's dress is falling off!" Ben quickly joked, "Yes, it's supposed to be," while Cat clarified, "It's a one shoulder number." The exchange was met with laughter from the studio.
Cat, known for her stylish appearances, was wearing an off-the-shoulder dress that prompted the comment. The This Morning duo then proceeded to tease the day's segments, including a discussion on viral ice cream makers and tips for staying cool in the heat, with Cat adding, "A one shoulder helps me! Dr Zoe has the sweat solutions you need."
Viewer Reactions to Prince Harry Coverage
Elsewhere on the show, viewers expressed frustration over the extensive coverage of Prince Harry. Buckingham Palace had announced that the Duke of Sussex would not be staying at the palace during his London visit, contrary to earlier reports. Social media users took to X (formerly Twitter) to complain, with one writing, "#GMB is obsessed with Prince Harry," and another adding, "#GMB desperate to make a story out of nothing. Pathetic."
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 6am, while This Morning follows at 10am.
