Hollywood actor Corey Feldman was taken to hospital on Monday after suffering a medical emergency during a flight from Chicago to Los Angeles. The 54-year-old star, known for films such as The Goonies and The Lost Boys, was reportedly feeling unwell while the plane was in the air. A fellow passenger who was a doctor provided assistance.
A source told TMZ that doctors believe Feldman may be experiencing pancreatitis or gallstones. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed it responded to assist a 54-year-old male at the airport, who was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The night before the incident, Feldman had joined his Stand by Me co-stars Jerry O’Connell and Wil Wheaton at The Chicago Theatre to celebrate the film's 40th anniversary. He shared videos on Instagram of his journey to the event, telling followers: 'We’re on our way to Chicago to tear it up. Gonna be a great night.'
Feldman appeared on the 2012 series of ITV's Dancing on Ice, where he was partnered with professional skater Brook Castile. He was eliminated in Week 3 after a shaky routine. His relationship with Castile was reportedly strained, and he later admitted he found the experience very difficult and would not do it again.
