Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones has set tongues wagging after being photographed enjoying an intimate London outing with actor Lewis Cope. The professional dancer, 35, and the The Last Kingdom star, 30, were seen deep in conversation during a lengthy al fresco lunch in the capital, fuelling speculation of a new romance.
The pair appeared completely at ease in each other's company, sharing laughs and maintaining intense eye contact throughout their meal. Dressed casually for their daytime rendezvous, Jones opted for a chic black top and sunglasses, while Cope looked relaxed in a grey T-shirt.
From Lunch to a Leisurely Stroll
After their extended lunch, the duo continued their afternoon with a leisurely stroll through the streets of London. At one point, the Russian-born dancer was seen animatedly explaining something, using hand gestures to emphasise her point as Cope listened intently.
The chemistry between them was palpable, with sources suggesting this isn't the first time they've been spotted together. "They looked very comfortable with each other, like they've spent a lot of time together," an onlooker remarked.
A Look at Their Careers
Katya Jones is best known for her role as a professional dancer on the BBC's flagship show Strictly Come Dancing, which she joined in 2016. She famously won the glitterball trophy in her first year with partner Ed Balls.
Lewis Cope is recognised for his portrayal of Frisa in the hit Netflix historical drama The Last Kingdom, and has also appeared in other television productions including Vera and Vikings.
This new romantic link comes after Jones's marriage to fellow Strictly professional Neil Jones ended in 2023. The dance partners had been married for eleven years before announcing their separation. Cope's relationship status prior to these sightings hadn't been widely publicised.
Representatives for both Jones and Cope have been approached for comment regarding the nature of their relationship.
