Strictly Come Dancing stars Katya Jones and Lewis Cope were seen engaged in a tense conversation during a break from rehearsals, sparking rumours of a rift. The pair, who are favourites to reach the final, were practising their Rumba for tonight's live show, set to Harry Styles' hit 'Falling'. An onlooker described the exchange as 'serious', with Lewis sitting with his arms crossed while Katya spoke.
The duo have been pushing themselves hard after scoring a perfect 40 for their Charleston at the Blackpool Ballroom last weekend. Former Strictly professional James Jordan hailed that performance as one of the greatest in the show's history, claiming Lewis is more talented than some current male pros. Jordan told The Sun that Lewis performed moves that 80 percent of the male professionals could not do, crediting his background as a trained dancer.
Lewis was a member of street dance troupe Ruff Diamond in his late teens, reaching the final of Sky's Got To Dance in 2013 and winning national championships. Jordan added: 'If I tried to do some of the stuff he was doing, I'd break my spine.'
Despite the tense moment, Lewis and Katya remain strong contenders for the Glitterball trophy, competing against Balvinder Sopal, Karen Carney, Amber Davies, Alex Kingston, and George Clarke.
