Strictly's George Clarke Confirms Romance with Model at TikTok Awards
Strictly's George Clarke confirms relationship with model

Strictly Come Dancing favourite George Clarke has officially confirmed his relationship with lingerie model Yasmin Amelia during a glamorous red carpet appearance.

A Red Carpet Debut

The couple, who had been the subject of fan speculation, made their romance public at the TikTok awards held on Thursday night at Magazine London in North Greenwich. George Clarke, 25, a nominee for Creator of the Year, looked smitten as he introduced his girlfriend to friends and posed for photographers.

Yasmin Amelia, who is signed to the J'adore Models agency and has nearly 40,000 Instagram followers, complemented George in a stunning white lace off-the-shoulder gown. George opted for a smart navy pinstripe suit and white shirt for the occasion.

Family Ties and Dancing Pressure

Beyond his online fame, George's showbiz roots run deep. His father is Sean Clarke, the managing director of Aardman Animations, the iconic British studio behind Wallace and Gromit. Sean, who started at Aardman in 1998, has co-produced films like 'Early Man' and the Shaun the Sheep movies, and was named boss of the entire operation in 2019.

Meanwhile, George is facing an emotionally charged week on Strictly Come Dancing. He is preparing to perform a Rumba to Lily Allen's cover of 'Somewhere Only We Know' – a song his sister performed at their grandfather's funeral.

He emotionally revealed on 'It Takes Two' that he is struggling with the pressure to perfect the routine, stating, "It is a dance that I want to get right even more so" because of the song's profound meaning to his family.

A Rising Digital Star

George has built a massive following on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram with his authentic and comedic content. He also co-hosts the popular 'The Useless Hotline Podcast', which has led to a series of live shows across the UK. Despite his consistent high scores on Strictly, he admits performing live still feels "really strange" to him.

The TikTok awards night was a clear success for George, who was highly commended for the Creator of the Year award. When asked about his celebration plans, however, the dedicated dancer had a simple reply: “I've got to get up at 7am tomorrow, I've got to get home to bed.”
