In a major scheduling clash that has left fans disappointed, the glittering stars of Strictly Come Dancing will be conspicuously absent from tonight's National Television Awards ceremony.
The show's professional dancers, a staple of the annual event, are unable to attend due to a direct conflict with crucial rehearsals for the upcoming Strictly Live Tour, which kicks off later this month.
Tour Rehearsals Take Priority Over Red Carpet
The highly anticipated live arena tour, featuring celebrities like Bobby Brazier and Ellie Leach, demands the full attention of its cast. With the first performance in Birmingham just days away, the intense rehearsal schedule has left no room for the NTAs, which are being held at London's O2 Arena.
This means fan favourites such as Dianne Buswell, Vito Coppola, and Johannes Radebe will be missing from the red carpet, unable to champion their show for the coveted 'Talent Show' award.
A Bitter Blow for Strictly's NTAs Campaign
The absence is a significant blow for the BBC show, which is nominated against the likes of Britain's Got Talent and The Masked Singer. The pro dancers are renowned for their energetic and visible support during the ceremony, often seen cheering and celebrating in the audience.
While the dancers are tied up, it remains unclear if any of the show's judges, including head judge Shirley Ballas, or hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, will be in attendance to represent the Strictly brand.
The National Television Awards, voted for by the public, will be broadcast live on ITV this evening, celebrating the very best of the past year in British television.
