Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Wynne Evans has claimed that one couple on his series "didn't like each other very much," and that the professional dancer was "not upset" when they were eliminated.
Wynne Evans reveals behind-the-scenes tension
Speaking on TikTok, the Welsh opera singer, 54, was asked: "Were there any partnerships that didn't get on well during your series, and if they didn't then what would happen during breaks and behind the scenes and things? and how…"
He replied: "There was one couple in my year, if I'm honest, that didn't like each other very much. And when they got knocked out I remember the pro was… not upset."
Evans did not name the pair, staying silent and nodding instead. Fans speculated, with one suggesting "Neil and Toyah," and another asking if it was "Nick and Luba."
Evans's Strictly experience and fallout
Evans competed in 2024 alongside Katya Jones, becoming the eighth star eliminated. He later faced a series of scandals surrounding his alleged behaviour on set and during the live tour.
Earlier this month, he also discussed his former co-stars on TikTok, saying: "Short answer - no. Longer answer - of course they all reached out to me when I left. Privately, they all gave me their support. But, when I asked them to do it publicly, they said they'd have to check with their publicists. I kind of understood that. Even though, I'm a guy who if I'm your friend, I'm your friend through thick and thin. That really surprised me actually about the whole celebrity community."
He added: "I thought they were my friends but, actually, it was c***. All my friends from opera - no problem at all. I hear from them all the time. So, yeah, no I don't hear from them. Anton is the exception to the rule. I've heard from Anton, and he's a top bloke. He invited me to his show. I saw Lauren, she was in his show, and she came around my house the next day for lunch but Anton - he was really nice. He's a top, top bloke. Of all the people there, I would say he's the most real. I think he's just a good, solid bloke."
Following the scandal, Evans was cut from his BBC Radio Wales show, which he had hosted since 2016. A BBC spokesperson said at the time that there were also "no plans" to work with him again.
