British rapper Stormzy has shared the heartbreaking news that his cherished protection Rottweiler, Enzo, has passed away at the age of seven.

The 32-year-old musician, whose real name is Michael Omari, posted a series of emotional video clips to his Instagram account to honour his late pet, who was also affectionately known as Enz. Stormzy disabled comments on the post, choosing to share his grief privately with his followers.
In a caption accompanying the tribute, the artist wrote, 'RIP my no.1 boy. Don't have much to say, just gutted and heartbroken. I love you so so so much my boy.' He added a poignant message for those who know him personally, stating, 'If you know me then you know how much Enz meant to me, gonna miss you my guy.'

The bond between Stormzy and his dog was well-known, with Enzo originally purchased in 2018 for £15,000 as a highly trained protection animal. The rapper bought the Rottweiler during his relationship with television presenter Maya Jama, meaning the dog was a significant part of their lives together.

The death of Enzo comes during a period of change in Stormzy's personal life. He and Maya Jama, the host of Love Island, announced their second and final split in July after first dating from 2014 to 2019 and briefly reconnecting in 2023.
