Stormzy and Maya Jama Split After Four Years Together

Stormzy and Maya Jama have ended their relationship after four years of dating, a representative for Maya confirmed to Metro.co.uk. The split comes just days after they celebrated her 25th birthday together, surprising fans who saw them as one of the strongest couples in British entertainment.

The couple first met in October 2014 at the Red Bull Culture Clash and began dating in January 2015. At the time, Stormzy was an underground rapper while Maya was building her career as a TV presenter for MTV. Maya later recalled knowing she fancied him from the start, but they took things slowly before sharing their first kiss.

Stormzy showed his commitment by writing the song 'Birthday Girl' for Maya's 22nd birthday in 2016, and she appeared in the music video for his breakout hit 'Big For Your Boots' in 2017. The couple moved in together in 2018 and bought their first home, complete with a garden where they welcomed their dog Enzo.

Despite rumours of a split in early 2018, they remained together and Stormzy hinted at marriage later that year, calling Maya 'the best'. However, Maya expressed frustration at being labelled 'Stormzy's girlfriend', insisting she had her own identity. The couple attended Maya's birthday party on Sunday, but by Tuesday their relationship had ended.
