Steve Coogan has revealed that he is about to become a grandfather. The 59-year-old actor and comedian, best known for his portrayal of Alan Partridge, shared the news during a recent interview.
Coogan, who has played the iconic comedy character for three decades, discussed the upcoming arrival in the context of his personal life. He did not provide further details about which of his children is expecting.
The revelation came as Coogan promoted his new show, 'How Are You? It's Alan (Partridge)', which sees the character explore mental health. The actor noted that while Partridge is more popular than him, he is content with his own level of fame.
Coogan also reflected on his career, admitting he has deep-seated class issues that drive him, and that he has never done panel shows despite finding them funny. He described himself as an autodidact who used to have low expectations but has since pushed himself further.
