David Beckham, Kylie Minogue, and Heidi Klum were among the celebrities paying tribute to their mothers as the United States and Australia celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday. While the UK observes the occasion in March, stars across the Atlantic marked the day with heartfelt social media posts.
David Beckham Praises Wife Victoria
Despite being British, former footballer David Beckham used the day to honour his wife Victoria, with whom he shares four children. He described her as 'the best mum'. The couple's eldest son Brooklyn, 27, lives in the US with his wife Nicola Peltz and has been estranged from the family.
Kylie Minogue's Nostalgic Tribute
Australian pop star Kylie Minogue delighted fans with a nostalgic throwback photograph showing her with her Welsh mother, Carol Jones, from the 1980s. She captioned the image: 'Happy Mother’s Day to the BEST'.
Heidi Klum's Sweet Selfie
Supermodel Heidi Klum shared both a throwback snapshot and a recent selfie with her mother, Erna Klum. Her post included the German caption: 'Ich liebe Dich Mutti', which translates to 'I love you Mommy'.
Jojo Siwa's Emotional Message
Jojo Siwa posted a carousel of images featuring her mother, Jessalynn, who rose to fame alongside her daughter on the reality show Dance Moms. In her message, Jojo wrote: 'There are no words that can describe my mom. She continues to better me every single day, in every way possible. I have her to thank for everything. She is the strongest and greatest person that I know... I couldn’t imagine a life without her being my mom... I’m lucky that I never have to. I love you more than you know, and I think I’m officially probably old enough to start stealing your saying and say it back to you, I love you no matter what.' She also mentioned making her mother a special Mother's Day box with goodies and included a video before leaving for filming.
Storm Keating's Heartfelt Tribute
Ronan Keating's wife, Storm, also shared a loving message to her mother, writing: 'Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful mummy. Love our time together and love our chats, and love the way my babies adore their grannie!... Thank you for being such an awesome role model, inspiring me to be hard working, positive and capable of anything like you. Plus teaching me that love, morals, family and kindness come above anything else. You’re a rockstar and we all love you xx.'
Beckham Family Feud Continues
David Beckham's post came amid ongoing tensions with his eldest son, Brooklyn. The couple also has three other children: Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14. In January, Brooklyn publicly distanced himself from 'Brand Beckham', calling his parents 'performative' and accusing Victoria of 'dancing inappropriately' at his wedding. He now frequently expresses adoration for his in-laws, Nelson Peltz, 83, and former model Claudia, 71. On Friday, Nicola Peltz appeared to take another swipe at the Beckhams by posting a cosy photo with her parents on Instagram, captioned: 'My whole heart and world in one photo'.
