Stacey Solomon was overcome with emotion as she watched her older sister Jemma make her debut on This Morning. The 34-year-old Sort Your Life Out star was at home in Pickle Cottage with her daughters Rose and Belle when Jemma appeared on the ITV show alongside hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
Jemma, 35, shared her tips for Easter crafting, including how to lay the “perfect table”. Stacey exclaimed: “I’m so proud of my sister! Look Rose, it’s Auntie Jemma!” She later shared a video on Instagram of her children playing as her sister appeared on the large TV screen, captioning it: “OMG. So proud of my sister doing Easter crafts on This Morning. Oh Jem, well done. You were amazing!”
While Stacey is a household name, Jemma is carving out her own niche with her bespoke label company, The Label Lady. The self-taught businesswoman from Essex has amassed hundreds of thousands of followers on Instagram. She launched the venture in 2020 after family and friends encouraged her to turn her hobby of labelling everything at home into a business.
Last year, Jemma published her book Love, Lists And Labels and opened up about balancing work and family. She admitted to facing challenges, including mum guilt, which remains a daily battle. Before launching The Label Lady, she worked as a paediatric nurse, stepping down from full-time in 2019 to save on childcare costs. She took on night shifts while her husband Lee worked during the day, and spent her spare time experimenting with a label-making machine.
Today, The Label Lady has 675,000 Instagram followers and a website where customers can buy labels or design their own. Stacey is a huge supporter, and Lord Alan Sugar has invested in the company. Lee now works for the business full-time.
