Stacey Solomon has expressed her delight after receiving an unexpected gift from David Beckham, following a 'cringe' Instagram voice note she had sent asking for beekeeping advice. The Loose Women star, 35, had feared her message would be ignored but was thrilled to discover a parcel from the Beckhams.
Inside the package was a handwritten card from David that read: 'To Stacey and Joe, I hope you enjoy the honey and snacks. Lots of love, David Beckham.' Solomon shared the moment on her Instagram story, exclaiming: 'I've got David Beckham's autograph! What a time to be alive!'
Solomon had previously sent the voice note on the advice of her sister Gemma, admitting she felt like a 'loser' for doing so. Her husband Joe Swash joked about the interaction, saying: 'I don't need David Beckham as competition! It's the last thing I need.'
Beckham, who keeps bees at his £12 million Cotswolds estate, has turned his hobby into a business with the launch of BEEUP, a honey-based children's snack brand sold in the US. He described beekeeping as a hobby that began with his sons and grew into an appreciation for honey as a superfood.
Solomon recently returned to the BBC with the fly-on-the-wall series 'Stacey & Joe', which follows life at Pickle Cottage with her husband and their five children.
