Stacey Solomon has debuted a new look, dyeing her hair brown, and revealed she was invited to audition for what she described as a dream job. The 36-year-old shared the updates with fans on Instagram over the weekend.
New Hair Color
Speaking to the camera while getting ready, Solomon said: "I dyed my hair brown. Yeah, I just woke up one day and was like, 'I can't do this bleach anymore. I'm going to dye it! I want my glossy hair back!'" She added: "I'm really happy with it. It does feel very different. I do feel really, really different. I'm still getting used to it, but it feels much better and easier to maintain."
Dream Job Audition
Moving on to her career, Solomon revealed she had auditioned for a role she called a dream job. She shared: "Yesterday, I went for an audition for a dream job that even if I don't get it, I can't believe I got the chance to audition. I can't believe they even thought of me." She continued: "Do you know when you're like, 'Oh my gosh, they're letting me have a go at this!' It was just the coolest thing ever and honestly, that experience of just auditioning will forever be in my mind and I was so scared to do it."
Solomon encouraged her followers: "Never give up on your dreams and always try and go for it, even when it feels intimidating and daunting. Just go for it!"
Departure from Renovation Rescue
The singer-turned-presenter first rose to fame on The X Factor in 2009, finishing third. She won I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2010 and later became a panellist on Loose Women and host of BBC's Sort Your Life Out. Her Channel 4 show, Renovation Rescue, aired its first series in 2024 with Solomon as host, helping homeowners with unfinished renovations. However, the second series, returning on Thursday July 30 at 8pm on Channel 4, will be fronted by Vogue Williams and Luke Mabbott, without Solomon.
