Stacey Dooley was forced to issue an ultimatum to her two-year-old daughter Minnie after a series of meltdowns delayed their trip to London for a BBC Radio 2 interview. The former Strictly Come Dancing winner and her partner Kevin Clifton were scheduled to appear on Zoe Ball's show to promote their West End play, 2:22: A Ghost Story.
Zoe Ball revealed to listeners that her guests had endured 'a dramatic morning', with 'lots of people running around' backstage. Stacey admitted the trouble began when Minnie refused to shower, despite having ravioli smeared on her face. 'I said, "You've got ravioli around your face, baby! They'll take me off you!"' Stacey recalled.
The chaos continued at the Radio 2 studios, where Stacey got stuck in a stair lift and lost her phone. Kevin explained that Stacey refuses to use lifts, so a 'secret passage' had to be found to get her up the stairs. 'It's been a real journey to get here,' he said.
Stacey and Kevin, who met while winning Strictly in 2018, are reuniting for the first time since then to star in 2:22: A Ghost Story. Kevin shared a photo on Instagram with the caption: 'Day 1 back working with this little fella again. Last time was 7 years ago.'
