Jamie Laing completed his 150-mile ultramarathon for Comic Relief on Friday, raising over £2 million, but his former best friend Spencer Matthews was notably absent from the finish line. The Made In Chelsea star was greeted by his wife Sophie Habboo, co-star Oliver Proudlock, and Radio 1 DJ Greg James, but Matthews was nowhere to be seen.
A source told MailOnline that Matthews has been 'a bit non-plussed' by Laing's achievement, which is 'very odd' given their close friendship. The insider said: 'They were like brothers... It is the talk of their friendship group now that they seem to have fallen out.'
The rumoured rift is believed to stem from a wedding snub in 2023, when Matthews was not invited to Laing's civil ceremony at Chelsea Registry Office. Matthews later expressed his upset on his podcast with wife Vogue Williams, saying: 'I was not invited to this part of Jamie's wedding.' Laing apologised, admitting he 'f****d up', but the pair ended their joint podcast, 6 Degrees from Jamie and Spencer, in November.
Matthews, who completed 30 marathons in 30 days last year, has yet to comment publicly on the apparent snub, leaving fans speculating about the state of their once-close bond.
