Sort Your Life Out Dilly Carter on Stacey Solomon First Meeting

Sort Your Life Out star Dilly Carter has confessed she was initially taken aback when she first met Stacey Solomon.

Instant Connection

Dilly, 46, has been a core member of the BBC programme alongside presenter Stacey, 36, since its launch in 2021. The show follows Stacey and her team of organisers as they transform cluttered homes in the UK.

Stacey recently appeared on the Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast, hosted by Dilly. During the interview, Dilly recalled meeting Stacey for the first time at a pub in Essex.

She said: "I remember when we first met and they had this idea about this show, and they’re like, ‘You’re going to go and meet Stacey, a guy called Iwan [Carrington] and a guy called Rob [Bent] and we’re going to meet in this pub in Essex’."

Aura and Chemistry

Dilly added: "When I first met you I thought, 'Oh my God', when we left, it felt like we’d known each other for over 20 years within five minutes."

She continued: "I think that’s the loveliest thing about you, when you’re with you, it feels like you’ve known you forever and you have such a lovely aura about you, and you’re just you, and I love it. I mean I think this show has been the best thing that’s ever happened to me because I met you, and it’s been lovely."

Future of the Show

Stacey's appearance on the podcast comes after reports that Sort Your Life Out has been renewed for a seventh season. Filming on the seventh season has reportedly already wrapped, with the series set for release in Spring 2027.

Fans can also expect more of Stacey's reality show, Stacey & Joe, which is returning for a third series in Summer 2026. The show offers a glimpse into her family life with husband Joe Swash and their five children at Pickle Cottage.

Issuing a statement about the new series, the couple said: "If you watched the first series, you’ll know we’ve been talking about the lakes for ages… it feels a bit surreal to finally see it coming to life. With the juggle of family life thrown in, we’re learning as we go, so we’ll be just as surprised as everyone else to see how it all unfolds. A huge thank you to everyone who has watched Stacey and Joe so far. We are so grateful and can’t wait for you to watch this next series."
